Mid Market Commentary

The market is now trading flat. The heavy selling in the mid cap and small cap has led the overall market breadth turned negative as 1015 stocks are advancing while 1489 stocks are declining and 85 stocks remained unchanged on BSE.

At 12.31 pm, BSE sensex was at 15,754.56 up by 22.36 points while Nifty was at 4,615.65 down by 3.7 points. The BSE mid cap is lower by 19.26 points at 6,829.86 and small cap dropped by 48.53 points to 8,185.92.

BSE Capital goods index surged 297.19 points to 13,893.39 as BHEL (5.27%), ABB (1.67%), L&T (1.52%) and Siemens (0.83%) are trading in positive.

BSE Metal index improved 28.21 points to trade at 12,333.21 as Hindalco (1.08%) and NALCO (0.34%) are trading in green whereas Tata Steel (0.97%) and SAIL (0.64%) are trading in red.

BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 63.75 points higher at 8,274.38 as HPCL (1.59%), ONGC (1.32%), BPCL (1.26%) and IPCL (0.53%) are trading in positive.

BSE Banks index is trading up by 44.71 points to trade at 8,399.88 as PNB (0.88%), ICICI Bank (0.72%), HDFC Bank (0.57%) and SBI (0.44%) are trading in positive.

BSE IT index advanced 31.84 points to trade at 4,934.41 as Satyam (2.65%), Infosys (0.98%) are trading in green whereas HCL Tech. (2.18%), TCS (1.34%) and Wipro (0.37%) are trading in red.

BSE Health Care index increased 9.43 points to trade at 3,807.87 as Dr. Reddy (0.75%) and Sun Pharma (0.71%) are trading in positive whereas Cipla (1.04%) and GSK (0.87%) are trading in negative.

BSE Auto index decreased 44.09 points to trade at 5,154.40 as M&M (2.78%), Hero Honda (1.97%), Tata Motors (0.78%), Bajaj Auto (0.66%) and Mauti Udyog (0.36%) are trading in red.

BSE FMCG index dropped 8.92 points to trade at 1,862.52 as ITC (0.23%) and HUL (0.07%) are trading in red whereas Dabur (1.30%) is trading in green.
