Pre Open Market Commentary

Indian market is likely to have a positive opening as the US market closed in green and Asian market is trading mixed. On Monday, the Indian markets ended on a positive note as BSE Sensex closed higher by 166.65 points at 15,732.20 while Nifty increased by 53.3 points to close at 4,619.35. We expect the market to remain optimism during the trading session.

Monday, the US markets closed in green. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) increased by 92.34 points to close at 13,943.42. The S&P 500 (SPX) index closed higher by 7.47 points at 1,541.57 while the NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) grew by 2.98 points to close at 2,690.58.

Indian ADRs ended in mixed. In technology sector, Patni computers gained (4.32%) along with Wipro (1.36%) while Satyam computers decreased by (0.11%0. In banking sector, HDFC bank grew by (0.56%) while ICICI bank slipped by (3.93%) respectively. MTNL and VSNL grew by (3.43%) and (3.40%) respectively.

The major stock markets in Asia are trading mixed. Japan''s Nikkei trading lower by 16.03 points at 17,947.61. Hang Seng increased by 61.06 points to trade at 23,426.62. Straits Times trading higher by 24.06 points at 3,659.41. Taiwan weighted gained 102.84 points to trade at 9,724.41.

Today, Nifty has support at 4,575 and resistance at 4,687 and BSE Sensex has support at 15,620 and resistance at 15,910.
