Pre Open Market Commentary

Indian market is likely to have a flat opening as the Asian market is trading lower. On Tuesday, the Indian markets ended on a negative note as BSE Sensex closed lower by 21.40 points at 15,289.82 while Nifty slipped by 15.4 points to close at 4,496.75. We expect the market to remain range bound during the trading session.

Tuesday, the US markets closed in green. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJI) increased by 20.57 points to close at 13,971.55. The S&P 500 (SPX) index closed flat at 1,549.37 while the NASDAQ Composite (RIXF) grew by 14.96 points to close at 2,712.29.

Indian ADRs ended in mixed. In technology sector, Patni computers decreased by (1.93%) while Infosys increased by (1.50%) along with Satyam and Wipro by (0.98%)and (0.58%). In banking sector, ICICI bank and HDFC bank slipped by (1.31%) and (0.41%) respectively. MTNL and VSNL decreased by (3.02%) and (1.78%) respectively.

The major stock markets in Asia are trading lower. Japan''s Nikkei dropped by 207.36 points to trade at 18,009.91. Hang Seng slipped by 125.86 points to trade at 22,931.44. Straits Times trading lower by 13.76 points at 3,637.29. Taiwan weighted also trading up by 42.57 points at 9,552.30.

Today, Nifty has support at 4,460 and resistance at 4,550 and BSE Sensex has support at 15,130 and resistance at 15,440.
